The Deployment Process

When deploying to Unit4, the PMU will work closely with each agency to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. Once scheduled, there are five stages in the deployment process:

4

5

3

2

1

Initiation and Planning

Workshops are carried out to scope the organizational, reporting, and approval structure of agencies. Additionally, the agency will offer guidance on essential business procedures, while the PMU will pinpoint any gaps or opportunities for process enhancement if neede

Configuration

The agreed requirements, integrations and new developments are configured in Unit4 Test environments for system and user acceptance testing (UAT). Once end to end testing is successful, the new configuration is migrated to production.

Migration

The financial data from the agency's previous system is analyzed and migrated into Unit4. Any discrepancies need to be addressed before the migration process begins. The data is transferred from 2019, when Unit4 was first launched, up to the deployment date.

Monitoring

During the initial deployment week, the PMU will offer on-site assistance for any Unit4 inquiries, training sessions, and distribute manuals covering all essential FMIS functions.

Deployment Complete

After a reasonable monitoring period (varies for each agency) and migration of the final months' financial data, the agency's deployment is complete, and they have officially joined the CIG FMIS community with ongoing support from the FMIS Support Help Desk
